Houston Texans take on the New York Jets in Week 9 of the NFL regular season on “Thursday Night Football.”

RUTHERFORD, N.J. (KTRK) — The Houston Texans entered prime time Thursday against the New York Jets, and the players were there.

“Prime time, baby,” Texas defensive tackle Tim Settle Jr. told ABC13.

After being ignored during the NFL's prime time schedule last season, the Texans will get three straight games in prime time, starting with a matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.

Tank Dell will lead a Texas receiver group missing Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins. After a slow start to the season, Dell said he was ready to play for CJ Stroud.

“I have so much energy. I’m ready to go out and play,” Dell said.

A recipe for success for the Texans starts with good protection for Stroud after he was sacked a total of six times in the last two games.

Texans defensive lineman Will Anderson Jr. will lead the Texans' defense after being named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month on Thursday. Anderson collected five sacks in October and can increase that total against Rodgers.

The Texans' defense was quietly great, ranking second in the NFL in yards allowed.
